Taming Bobcats

A bobcat is tame when they are vary young. But bobcats will always be a wild animal.

Bobcats In Danger

In captivity, bobcats can live up to 25 years. Few predators other than cougars and humans are able to kill an adult bobcat. Young bobcats are killed by eagles, great horned owls, coyotes, foxes, bears, and adult male bobcats.

Bobcat Attack

Attacks by bobcats on humans are rare. Normally if a bobcat approaches a human or seems aggressive towards you it is most likely sick or rabid.

Bobcats eat woodchucks, rabbits, skunks, raccoons, moles mice, rats, squirrels and chickens. One of the most common prey of  the bobcat is the cotton-tail rabbit. Occasionally the bobcat will kill larger prey like deer.
